螺旋堂

此為建於1796年的六角形三層佛堂，位於因白虎隊而聞名的會津若松市飯盛山上，因狀似海螺而被稱為「海螺堂」。順著富含特色的二重螺旋狀斜坡往上走，會發現竟在不知不覺中向下前行，是非常不可思議的迴廊。沿著斜坡安置有西國三十三觀音像，順坡向上可參拜三十三觀音。於1996年獲指定為日本國家重要文化財。
