熊野磨崖佛是平安时代末期雕刻于岩石表面的佛像，堪称是日本最古老的佛像。不动明王像高约8米，大日如来像高约6.7米，均为国内最大的磨崖佛，已被指定为国家重要文化遗产。来此参拜必须要沿陡峭的石阶攀登而上，建议选择便于行走的鞋子。也可以在这里租借拐杖。参观时间截至傍晚为止。
