劝修寺

劝修寺位于京都市山科区，是真言宗山阶派的大本山。是在公元900年，醍醐天皇为生母藤原胤子祈求冥福而建，与皇室和藤原氏渊源颇深。参道两边是白墙筑地塀（用瓦片砾石加固），沿参道前行，可以看到前方的山门，寺内的书院已被指定为重要文化遗产，前庭内放置着水戸光圀捐赠的巨大伞状石灯笼。寺院里还有一座池泉回游式庭园，中心的冰室池因美丽的莲花和燕子花而闻名，令许多游人流连忘返。在平安时代，每年的1月2日，人们便会将冰室池的冰进献到宫中，根据厚度来占卜这一年是否五谷丰登。
