  I loved the castle - maybe it is because takamatsu is somewhat of a hidden tourist gem, but there were no crowds. great!

  Quite a unique castle for Japan being on the seafront. It is a shame that modern buildings have intruded so much on the skycap and literally over the walls. Lovely gardens and well signposted.

  this might appear in some descriptions as tamano park and takamatsu castle. easily accessed from the dormy hotel. it is located near the JR station and the ferry port. built in 1590 it is 1 of 3...
