높이 300m의 초고층 빌딩 '아베노 하루카스' 16층에 있으며, 터미널 역에서 아주 가까운 입지를 살린 도시형 미술관. 상설전은 없고 긴테쓰 연선의 문화재와 일본을 포함한 동양미술, 서양미술, 현대미술 등 장르에 얽매이지 않는 다양한 기획전을 1년에 여러 차례 열고 있다. 빌딩 한 층의 드넓은 공간으로, 쇼핑이나 관광의 막간에 누구라도 편안하게 미술감상을 즐길 수 있는 장소로서 인기.

Visited during recent typhoon and everything else seemed to be closed. In tall building - exhibit was fantastic. Stayed for a coffee afterwards at the cafe with wonderful views of Osaka.

I loved the fact that this museum is situated within Japans tallest building. It is on the 16th floor and there is an outside space on this level as well to enjoy. A coffee shop is 1 floor higher...
Crowded. Hazard. I thought it was just the day I visited...

In walking distance of a main train station, Abeno Harukas has its name emblazoned on the building--so at night, it was easy to find. The Art Museum here should individually get stars for what it is...
