요코하마시 JR '쓰루미 역'에서 도보 5분 거리에 있는 조동종 대본산의 사원. 이시카와현 와지마시의 진언율종 포교원 '제악관음당'이 전신으로, 1911년 현재의 장소로 이전되었다. 경내에는 불전, 대조당을 비롯해 많은 당우와 쓰루미 대학 등의 학교시설도 있다. 묘소에 각계의 저명인사들이 많이 묻혀 있으며, 명배우 이시하라 유지로의 묘도 있다.
