This was my favorite museum in Hakodate. Everything was in English as well as Japanese. Learned a lot about the native people and early settlers. Only 300 yen. One hour is probably enough time.

This Museum is easy to find for a tourist using public transport once you work out the tram system, as the stops are close (you can see the tracks in the photo). I love the anime Mononoke Hime or...
Nice small museum on the native culture of the region

Nice to find a proper museum on the Ainu and other northern peoples. Not much to read in english, but great exhibits of material and clothes.
