Akita - It is a special experience to walk the beautiful clear stream flowing from the vast beech forest of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Heritage Site. It will be held in Fujikoto River, Akita Prefecture. The river is so beautiful that you can see the bottom. You won‘t meet other people while trekking. You can enjoy a private feeling. There may be encounters with birds and fish. A guide will accompany you, so you can rest assured even if you are new to river trekking. If it‘s hot, you can swim or jump. Lunch (included in the tour price) is a lunch box using locally produced rice and wild plants. It will be on the banks of a clear stream. It is a day where you can feel the untouched nature with your whole body. On rainy days, you can change to Shirakami no Mori trekking. While strolling around Mato Park in Masudamachi, Yokote City, one of Japan‘s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, we will enter Matoyama and guide you to the summit (elevation 391M). The view of Mt. Chokai, also known as Dewa Fuji, from the mountaintop shrine and the view of Masuda and Jumonjimachi below are the best! A famous forest instructor will slowly proceed while explaining the flora and fauna, such as the satoyama and walking paths in the surrounding area. If you are lucky, you can see Japanese squirrels, Japanese serows, and owls! We will fully convey the charm of satoyama and forests while also sharing nature experiences (play) for children. Since it is a hiking course for beginners that even preschoolers can walk, anyone from families with children to couples, small groups, one person, etc. can participate.
