This sake brewery is rooted in the local community and is passionate about new products such as locally produced fruit wines. Bush Camp Site Yamamoto Honke‘s selling point is that you can enjoy sake to your heart‘s content in the place where sake was born. Yamamoto Honke, located in Gojo City, Nara Prefecture, was founded in 1710 and is a sake brewery that represents Nara. Yamamoto Honke‘s specialty is persimmon wine. Persimmons are the largest fruit produced in Nara Prefecture and are the second largest producer in the country. They make wine using persimmons. The raw material is almost 100% ‘Fuyu persimmons‘ except for the addition of sugar and a little water, and no alcohol is used at all. Although it may have a slight sour and bitter taste, this is one of the characteristics of persimmon wine. Of course, we also produce traditional Japanese sake.
