Wajima Taisai Festival
This is a festival incorporating summer festivals at the four shrines in Wajima City: Okitsuhime-jinja Shrine, Juzo-jinja Shrine, Sumiyoshi-jinja Shrine and Wajimasaki-jinja Shrine. The main sights are the massive 4-15 meter tall pillar lanterns called Kiriko. The elegant Wajima-lacquer kiriko and lamps, and the sea bream-shaped shrines parading through the streets are an incredible sight.
