Ichinomiya Tanabata Festival
Held in the city of Ichinomiya, a city famed for its textile industry, the Ichinomiya Tanabata Festival is considered one of the three greatest Tanabata festivals in Japan. A variety of events are held during the festival's four day period, including a rickshaw parade featuring the year's Miss Tanabata and Miss Textile; the Gyoi Hoken Daigyoretsu parade, in which woolen goods are offered to Hatori Shrine; a Bon dance competition; live performances; and more.
