Katsuura Big Hina Matsuri (Doll's Festival)
Started after the town of Katsuura, Tokushima Prefecture received some 7,000 abandoned traditional hina dolls, various areas of the town are decorated with around 30,000 hina dolls. The steps of Tomisaki Shrine covered with 1,800 hina dolls makes for a particularly stunning sight. At night, the dolls are lit up, and events such as the children's hina parade and various stalls and stands make the festival even more fun.
