Kakogawa Matsuri Fireworks Festival

Event
A classic summer tradition for the Kakogawa River area, this festival is the largest in the Toban region. Initially called the Kawa Matsuri in 1953, it has been beloved over the years as an event that strengthens the bonds of the residence. The fireworks, bearing the prayers for peace, are launched from mid-river, the bedazzling the spectators from all 360 degree vantages. Confirming public access routes in advance is recommended, as there are no parking areas in the vicinity, and the venue is a residential area.
