Horikiri-toge Pass

Event
This premier scenic spot along the Nichinan Coast overlooks the Hyuganada seaboard and the undulating stone that follows the coastline, known as the “Demon’s Washboard.” Clusters of hill cherry trees cover the area, and every year around mid-March they burst into bloom. This is one of Miyazaki Prefecture’s earliest places to flower, and it’s known as an off-the-beaten-track blossom viewing spot.
