Hijiyama Park
A wonderfully green park stretched across the peaks around Mt. Hijiyama, Hijiyama Park is famous for being a great spot for cherry trees in Hiroshima City. A number of large cherry trees, such as the Yoshino cherry, grow throughout the wide park, and bloom spectacularly every April. They are illuminated with bonbori lamps during that season, creating a fantastical night scene. However, the entire area is closed to both vehicles and people from 23:00 to 5:00 a.m. for safety reasons. Please be advised.
