Hitome Senbonzakura on Shiroishigawa Riverside
Roughly 1,200 cherry trees were planted here thanks to the generous gift of Mr. Kaijiro Takayama in 1923. The view of Shiroishi River’s clear waters or the Zao Mountains’ grand peaks, coupled with perfectly blooming cherry trees, is a wonderful sight enjoyed by many visitors each year. During peak season, there is a sakura festival, nighttime illumination, a hanami tour boat, shops, and hanami bentos (lunch boxes) available for purchase.
