Ishikawa Agriculture and Forestry Research Center – Forestry Experimental Station Forest Park
The Forest Park is located within the Forestry Experimental Station, Ishikawa Agriculture and Forestry Research Center, in Sannomiya, Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The Park’s extensive grounds have been planted with over 15,000 trees belonging to around 800 different species. Inside the Park there are grass lawns, flower gardens, a Japanese-style garden, and a forestry museum; the Park is also home to many wild bird species and to Japanese serow, etc. Visitors to the Forest Park can also view approximately 900 cherry trees belonging to around 130 different varieties, including Yoshino, hill cherry, North Japanese hill cherry, etc., and an impressive range of different colors and shapes of cherry blossom can be seen between early April and early May each year. The Forest Park is open from 08:30 to 17:00. Toilets and free parking available (please note that parking is not permitted between 17:00 and 8:30).
