Kotohiki Park

Event
Kotohiki Park, which is located in Kan’onji City, Kagawa Prefecture, is famous for the huge sand-picture of an Edo-period copper coin, Kannei-tsuho, made using the white sand of Ariake Beach. The Park has been designated a National Place of Scenic Beauty, and with around 450 cherry trees of various varieties (including Yoshino cherry, etc.) flowering in spring, it has also been included in the list of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. During the cherry blossom season, from early to mid-April, the cherry trees and the more than 2,000 pine trees in the Park make a marvelous contrast with one another. Toilets, shops, and free parking available.
