Kagamino Park
A municipal park located in Tosayamada Town, Kami City, Kochi Prefecture. One of the prefecture’s top destinations for cherry blossom viewing, the park has even been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. Yoshino cherries, double-flowered cherries, and numerous other cherry tree varieties bloom on the park’s grounds in spring. A 200 meter long tunnel of cherry blossoms in particular bustles with vast numbers of visitors each year. Over half of the park’s cherry trees are large specimens over 60 years old, providing visitors with impressive views. During the peak blooming period, generally from late March to early April, the Kagamino Park Cherry Blossom Festival is held and the park’s cherry trees are also lit up at night with paper lanterns. Shops, toilets and parking available.
