Kinuta Park
A metropolitan park located in Setagaya City, Tokyo which bustles with families on weekends and holidays. The park’s facilities include a spacious natural grass lawn, walking paths, athletic field, and the Setagaya Art Museum. The park is also renowned for its cherry blossoms, and in spring some 900 Yoshino cherries, hill cherries, Oshima-zakura cherries, weeping cherries, and other cherry tree varieties come into bloom on its grounds. The Family Park area is a particularly popular destination for enjoying some flower viewing, and here visitors can enjoy the stunning sight of a row of giant weeping cherries, their blossoms hanging all the way down to eye height. Most years, the best time to view the park’s blossoms is from late March to early April, and during this time the park is visited by great numbers of flower blossom-seekers.
