Maruyama Park

A municipal park located on a hill in Konko Town, Asakuchi City, Okayama Prefecture. The park’s facilities include the Mihon Teien Japanese garden, a large pond with a water zone, a roller slide, and scenic overlook. The area around the pond and the path leading up to the Mihon Teien at the top of the hill are planted with Yoshino cherry trees, and in spring these areas bustle with visitors come to enjoy viewing the blossoms. During the peak blooming period from late March to early April, the area is lit up with paper lanterns, giving visitors the chance to enjoy the blossoms at night as well. The park is open from 8:00 to 19:00 from April to September and from 8:30 to 17:00 October to March. Toilets and parking available.
