Okazaki Park
Okazaki Park centering on a castle tower of Okazaki Castle in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture is one of the best cherry blossoms viewing places in the Tokai Region which has been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. About 800 Yoshino cherry trees bloom, and the cherry blossoms on the northern side of Mikawa Bushinoyakata Ieyasukan are particularly beautiful. The blossoms are illuminated in the evening from late March to mid-April when they are in full bloom, and a cherry blossom festival is held over two weeks from early April. It is crowded with many stalls and flower viewing visitors. The Ieyasu Parade which is a gorgeous spring attraction is the main event. Shops, toilets and parking available.
