Tokiwa Park

Tokiwa Park in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture is a general park and one of the most distinguished cherry blossom viewing sites in the prefecture as it has also been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. In the park which its size is equivalent to 40 Tokyo Domes, you can enjoy seasonal flowers as well as about 3,500 cherry blossoms such as Yoshino cherries, double-flowered cherries, wild cherries, Kanhi-zakura cherries and weeping cherries. It is illuminated by LED floodlights from late March to early April when it is at its best. At the annual Sakura Festival held on the first Sunday in April, stalls are set up and performances are also held on the stage. There is also a zoo and an amusement park inside. There is free admission for cherry blossom viewing. Toilets and paid parking available.
