Kamine Park

Kamine Park located in Miyata Town, Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture has been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots along with Heiwa-dori Street which stretches over about one kilometer from the front of JR Hitachi Station. About 30 types of cherry blossoms including Yoshino cherries as well as double-flowered cherries come into bloom inside the park in spring. It holds the annual Hitachi Sakura Festival from early to mid-April and you can enjoy cherry blossoms illuminated with lanterns and lamps in the evening. The park also has a zoo, an amusement park and a leisure land so is a popular flower viewing site for families. Free parking, toilets and shops available.
