Nara Park
Speckled with Todaiji Temple, Kofukuji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Shoso-in and other historical religious-cultural structures, this urban garden is famous for housing a variety of wild deer which has been designated as a National Natural Monument. You can see a variety of cherry trees there, including the Nara-no-yaezakura, Nara-no-kokonoe-zakura, as well as the Yoshino cherry and hill cherry. The best season for viewing is from late March to early April. Beautiful blossoms can be found throughout Mt. Wakakusa, around Ukimi-do Pavilion, within Kofuku-ji and Todai-ji temples. Toilets, shops and parking available. The nearest station is Kintetsu-Nara Station.
