Korankei Valley
The Korankei Valley and its rushing stream is just before the Yahagi River joins its tributaries the Tomoe River and the Asuke River. Visitors enjoy the natural beauty there that changes with the seasons. In autumn, eleven varieties of 4,000 Japanese maples turn color in a display that is said to be the finest in the Tokai region. They also hold the Korankei Maple Festival during that period and the trees are lit up every evening, creating a magical atmosphere. There are few roads, so be careful as they get very crowded.
