Yuda Onsen

A hot spring area whose alkaline simple springs produce soft, velvety waters which moisturize the skin. The area generates 2,000 tons of natural hot spring water every day, and this abundant flow results in waters that are colorless, transparent, and free from cloudiness. These waters are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, frozen shoulders, motor paralysis, joint stiffness, bruises, sprains, and chronic digestive diseases. In addition to bathing in them, it is also recommended to drink these waters, and there is a hot spring water drinking station next to the footbath in front of the Yuda Onsen Tourist Information Center. Anyone and everyone can drink the waters for free, so give them a try! Area visitors willing to go a little out of their way can also check out the Ruriko-ji Five Story Pagoda, a designated National Treasure said to be one of the most beautiful pagoda’s in the country.
