Up Kannabe
This resort has good access, being only 15 minutes from the Hidaka Kannabe Kogen Interchange and accessible via a national route that’s kept plowed through the winter. 80% of the courses are easy beginner and intermediate slopes, making it especially popular with those new to skiing. With an average slope of seven degrees, all the runs are broad so there’s no worry of running off the course or into other skiers. There are two kids areas, and the Ueno Daira Slope’s Super Kids Way is Japan’s longest at 150 meters. It is also nice that there’s a gas station and a convenience store on the way to the resort from the interchange.
