Okushiga Kogen Ski Resort

Skiing/Snowboarding Area
This is the most remote resort in Shiga Kogen, Japan’s largest ski area. It occupies 2,009-meter Mt. Yakebitai’s northeastern slope and boasts some of the best powder snow in Japan. The area is dotted with high class hotels, and the slope as a whole has an elegant ambiance. Their Kuma-Otoshi Course for advanced level skiers features Okushiga Kogen’s steepest drop with a highest gradient of 30 degrees. With facilities like its Kids Park that’s easily accessible via a moving walkway, skiers of all levels love this resort.
