This longstanding alcoholic beverage brewery, established in 1900, stands on National Route 382 on the southern side of Iki Island a 10-minute drive from Gounoura Port and Indoji Port. Iki is said to be the birthplace of barley shochu, and the brewery continues to make Iki shochu according to a unique method. The brewery is famous for its Mugi Shochu Iki, which delights with the aroma of barley and the sweetness of koji malted rice at the same time; and Takiizumi, which was awarded a gold prize by the Monde Selection. There's also a free adjoining shochu museum where you can see exhibits on shochu and also sample and purchase shochu.

様々な種類の焼酎が試飲できます。今回は車でしたので試飲できませんでしたが、ドライバーでなくお酒好きの方でしたら、楽しめると思います。また、販売数量が少ない珍しい焼酎が手に入るので、お土産に良いと思います。

壱岐の麦焼酎は、麦：米麹＝2：1 の割合で作られ、500年の伝統があり、ボルドーやバーボンと同じように、平成7年に世界のブランドの仲間入りしたそうです。日曜日で休日だそうで、説明役はいませんでしたが、自由にゆっくり見学させてくれました。

度数や貯蔵方法により、色々な種類の焼酎があります。壱岐スーパーゴールドは、ホワイト・オーク樽で貯蔵しており、ほんのり樽の色がついた琥珀色の焼酎ですが、ウイスキーのような風味が出ます。見学コースもあり、楽しく見学、試飲、購入ができます。
