Kitachiba Water Supply Visitor Center

Museum / Science Museum
"This educational facility was built on the grounds of the Kitachiba No. 2 Pumping Station on the bank of Lake Teganuma. The No. 2 Pumping Station was built to regulate the water levels of Lake Teganuma, the Tega River, and the Saka River basin; prevent floods; and improve water quality. The center utilizes informational panels to explain the roles of the facility and how it was built. From some of the center's windows, visitors can see the station's sluice gates in operation. The center also distributes trading card-style ""Dam Cards"" with outlines of the sluice gates."
