Place famous for plum blossoms
About 10 minutes by car from the Sumoto IC on the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway, this nature park, the 27th temple of Awaji-Hanahenro, is a restored ume (plum) grove in the Hirota district, which has long been famous for its ume (plum) blossoms. 450 ume trees are planted on an approximately 15,000 square meter site, including Nanko and Yushijuku ume trees that bear fruit as well as flowering ume and weeping ume trees. In spring, 50 Someiyoshino cherry trees are in full bloom, and the park is also popular as a cherry blossom viewing spot.
