"This residence was where the literary master Junichiro Tanizaki lived for seven years from 1936-1943. The attached Tanizaki Library features a collection of books, reference literature, and other items. The home, where he Tanizaki lived with his wife Matsuko and her younger sisters, inspired the setting of his masterpiece ""The Makioka Sisters"" (Sasameyuki). The world of the novel, which realistically depicted life in the home, will vividly come to life as you set foot inside. The attached library, which was built on the 20th anniversary of the home's relocation, exhibits works written in Tanizaki's own hand."

細雪を読み始めた頃にこちらに訪問したので、後も読み進める間、具体的に風景をイメージ出来て感慨深いものがありました。一階には関係書籍も揃っていたり、当時の写真なども飾っています。
細雪の舞台になった、谷崎潤一郎の旧宅

阪神電車の魚崎駅から住吉川沿い、北に徒歩5分ほど。木造2階建ての建物。細雪の舞台になっている谷崎潤一郎の旧宅です。食堂には谷崎潤一郎が実際に使っていた机が残されています。1階の食堂、西側の和室や2階東側の明るい部屋、西側の和室など、見所の多い、谷崎と松子の生活を想像させる、谷崎ファン必見の場所です。こちらを見学してから、芦屋の谷崎潤一郎記念館に行かれることをおすすめします。
土日のみの会館だが行く価値あり

駅から徒歩15分ほど、灘中高の側にあります。取り壊しの難を逃れた経緯等の載った新聞も展示してありました。上がってすぐのお部屋は書籍も置いてあり、その場で読むことが可能です。本人が評した通り小さいと感じる家ですが、現在まで手入れが丁寧になされて、庭も室内も住み良い場所だと思います。
