Mitsu Nature Observation Park (Sekai no Ume Park)

This park is located in Kurosaki Mitsu-cho, Tatsuno City. The grounds have been planted with some 1,200 Asian plum trees spanning around 300 varieties gathered from Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and other countries around the world. Chinese-style structures built in the park exude an exotic atmosphere and include a plum museum and an observatory with a commanding view of the Seto Inland Sea. An admission fee is required to enter the park when the plum trees are in bloom from mid-February to late March, and during this time the Mitsu Plum Festival is also held on the grounds.

今年は早めにに咲き終わりでした

入り口から有料ゲートまでのしだれ梅が咲き終わっていたため、入園を諦めました。すぐ近くの田畑で、菜の花祭り中でそちらを見て満足して帰りました。
山の上の梅の公園中国風資料館あり

麓から狭い道を車で上がっていくと周囲には世界の梅が植えられている。頂上に着くと瀬戸内海の眺めがよく気持ちよい。中国風の建物は梅資料館になっていて展望台もある。2月からの梅の季節がベストだがそれ以外の時期でも楽しめるが、すれ違いに苦労しそうな狭い道なので運転には注意。

綾部山梅林の奥に「世界の梅公園」が隣接していますが、経営は別のようで入場料も別途必要になります。綾部山梅林の梅は梅干用・梅酒用とのことですが、こちらは純粋に観梅用でしょうか。日本・中国・台湾・韓国など３１５品種の世界の梅を楽しめるとのことですが、数日前に出かけた友人が「三分咲き以下」と言っていたので、今回は近くまで行ってのぞいただけで入場はパス。いずれにしても、綾部山梅林と世界の梅公園の両方を訪問...
