Kasugataisha Museum
The museum is located in Kasugano-machi, Nara City, within the precincts of Kasuga Taisha Shrine, one of the World Heritage Sites of the Ancient Capital of Nara, and houses a collection of treasures from the Kasuga Taisha Shrine, including approximately 350 national treasures and 1,500 important cultural properties. The museum also holds special themed exhibitions of the collection, including swords from various periods from the Heian period to the Nanbokucho period, picture scrolls, and masks used in festivals, as well as a 6.5-meter-high daiko drum. The museum also has a 6.5-meter-high taiko drum exhibition hall and a café/shop.
