Place famous for plum blossoms

Located in Nara Park, some 250 Japanese plum trees have been planted around the area of the Marumado-tei, a National Important Cultural Property-designated structure which was created by remodeling the storehouse of Kasugataisha Shrine. In most years, the plum trees bloom from late February to mid-March.
