Tenkawa Municipal Museum
This museum contains exhibits on the kinds of tools used as part of daily life historically in Tenkawa Village (such as tools used for mountain work, bent wood ladles, rice scoops, and sake barrel-making tools); as well as exhibits on the mountain worship which flourished and is still active in the area today. The entrance area, recently remodeled in 2006, also now serves as a gallery. In addition to exhibitions featuring paintings, photographs, woodblock prints, and other works of art connected to the area, the museum also holds talks and music events using a stage built around a traditional Japanese irori sunken hearth.
