The facility consists of two museums with exhibits on two notable figures from Sakai - Sen no Rikyu, founder of the Urasenke tea ceremony school; and Akiko Yosano, a poet active from the Meiji through the Showa periods. There are also tearooms where you can experience the real Japanese tea ceremony, a tourist information center, and a restaurant. The Site of Sen no Rikyu's Residence is located across from the facility.

Located in Sakai, you can start with a movie to learn briefly about Sen and Akiko. After the visit, I do recommend the tea ceremony there in a casual way.
