This historic site is located in Yanagiyamatsuoki, Tsu City. The site is a grave for the fisherman Heiji of Akogi, who was punished after poaching fish in Akogiura for his sick mother. The legend of Heiji eventually inspired a joruri puppet, Noh, and kabuki plays, becoming known across Japan.
