Kashi-no-Yakata Tone
This Japanese and Western confectionary shop is situated on National Route 23 in Hon-machi, Tsu City. The shop sells seasonal fresh Japanese confections made with top grade anko bean paste crafted from scratch with sweet azuki beans grown by specially contracted farms, monaka wafer cakes, dorayaki pancake sandwiches, and other Japanese sweets; and tarts made with seasonal fruits, cakes, chocolates, and other Western confections. The shop's zenzai-style pudding, a mixture of Japanese and Western sweets, is also popular. In addition, the shop holds monthly tea ceremony events in which participants can enjoy matcha green tea and seasonal Japanese confections.
