A museum located a 75-minute drive from the Tomei-Numazu Interchange. It was established in 1969 as part of the Meiji Centennial Project and presents materials connected with the construction of Japan's first real Western-style ship, the Heda-go, along with a mock-up of the Diana-go, which is kept here and which the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry has designated as part of the Heritage of Industrial Modernization. The adjacent Museum of History and Folklore provides information about the history of the fishing industry in Heda, while the Suruga Bay Deep Sea Creatures Museum displays deep sea life forms that have been caught in the waters of Suruga Bay.

戸田造船郷土資料館、水族館も併設されています。。。

資料館には、専用駐車場があります。御浜の海水浴場は、子供が小さいころ、家族で何度も来ており、此の資料館は、小生は初入館です。ロシアのディアナ号を戸田港で修復したそうです。水族館が併設されています。

戸田の岬の先っぽにある資料館です。沈没したディアナ号に関する資料がみられる珍しいスポットです。また国内有数の深海として知られる駿河湾の深海魚についての展示もあります。
へ-、ロシアとの交流がここであったんだ。

美談です。知りませんでした。戸田の港でロシア船の修復をすることになり、そこからここでの交流が。大型船建造を禁止されていた江戸時代。ロシアの教えを受けて、日本人船大工が大型船を建造。すごいなあ。
