Kameya Honten
A traditional Japanese confectionary located across a bridge to the west of Sakuragaike Park, is famous for its Kame-manju (stuffed buns) made in the shape of a turtle. Originally, it was a bakery, but local customers asked for the manju that was set up in front of the shop as a New Year's decoration. The manju called a big topic, so they started selling them as a product. They also make an idea gift, as a turtle is a lucky charm in Japan. The shop also sells a wide variety of baked and unbaked confections as well as items that are available only during certain seasons.
