Kikugawa City Kuroda Family Magistrate's Residence Museum/Kuroda Family Residence
The museum is located near the Shimogumi Community Center on a side road off Prefectural Route 69, and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property because of its valuable remains as a samurai residence. The current main building was rebuilt after the Great Ansei Earthquake, and the museum exhibits the collection of samurai armory, furnishings reminiscent of life in those days, and photographs of the house.
