A restaurant located just outside the Owakudani Station on the Hakone Ropeway gondola line. Their known for their black colored foods, not just Owakudani's specialty Kuro-Tamago black eggs but also Black-Monjaman steamed buns and Black-Vanilla ice-cream. From here you get an amazing view of Mt. Fuji and a picture makes for a great social media update. Another of their popular menu options is their Akaike-Jigokuno Kuro-Ramen (Black Ramen in a Red pond Hell) made to give the impression of the smoke rising from Owakudani valley. The pitch-black noodles make for an unforgettable striking contrast with the spicy red soup, a tonkotsu pork broth seasoned with Korean spices.

ロープウエイ大涌谷駅から２００メートル位です。箱根の観光地のレストランは、かなり高めの価格設定が殆どですが、この店は、他店に比べて安いです。（山菜そばが７００円、日本酒正一合３００円等）お土産物店併設の小規模な食堂といった感じで味もそこそこです。しかし、清潔感があり、調理も早く、窓際の席では眺めが良いです。
黒いソフトクリーム

お土産屋と食堂があり、店頭で黒アイスが気になり、食べました。黒色は竹炭で、味は普通のバニラのソフトクリームですが、若干固めで食べ応えがありました。ただ暑さで猛スピードで溶けていき、食べるのに苦労しました。

12月６日９時半ごろ、『極楽茶屋』のみやげ物店で、黒たまごを買おうとして店のカゴに品物を入れたら、いきなり男性店員に「勝手にとるな！」と怒鳴られた。買うものは黒たまごだけじゃなく他にもあるから、それらをまとめてレジで支払おうとしたのだが。どうやらその店員は、黒たまごだけは別会計で買ってほしかったらしい。でも、それならそれでもっと言い方があるはず。近くにいた女性店員も、そっぽ向いたまま、金だけ受け取...
