This roughly 45.3-hectare park has facilities like a water plaza, an obstacle course, and a petting zoo. It's highly popular, especially with families. The park has lots of colorful seasonal flowers, and a fence is covered in clematis, which are rather uncommon in Japan. Their Clematis Fair is held every May. About 200 types of 7,400 hydrangea burst into lovely bloom from early to late June.

紫陽花の季節に訪れるのがお勧め

紫陽花を見に訪問。相模大野駅からバスで25分程度。展望塔の横から紫陽花の咲く小道が有ります。その脇にはアスレチックの遊具が結構あり、子供は楽しめそうです。雷雨のあとの晴れ間、紫陽花も雨に濡れて綺麗でした。
県立相模原公園の南側に隣接する市立公園

相模原市立麻溝公園は、県立相模原公園の南側に隣接する市立公園で、花時計前のりりちゃん橋で繋がっています。駐車場は第１-第５駐車場まであり、すべて無料です。園内にある「ふれあい動物広場」という小動物園や「グリーンタワー相模原」という展望台も無料です。広い芝生広場ではたくさんの人が遊んでいました。
