Kimuraya Main Store

Other Food
This is the oldest of the several Asakusa shops selling small freshly baked snack cakes known as ningyo-yaki. It's on the Nakamise Shopping Street corner closest to Asakusa Kannon. They've been making their cakes with the same traditional lightly sweet flavor since they opened in 1872. The shop's founder came up with their four Asakusa-related cake varieties: five-storied pagoda, thunder god, lantern, and pigeon. The expiration date is about a week from purchase. Besides a snack to munch on while wandering Asakusa, they make tasty gifts and souvenirs. The shop also sells slightly sweet ankonashi treats.
