Nakamura-an
This soba noodle restaurant stands on Komachi-dori Street in Kamakura City. Established in 1964, here customers can eat country-style soba noodles made by the hands of the Nagano-born owner. The restaurant's noodles are primarily made with buckwheat flour from Nagano and have the distinct firmness and flavor of country-style noodles; customers can also enjoy sobayu, the flavorful water used to boil the noodles. The firm, chewy noodles go great with the restaurant's slightly sweet tare dipping sauce. The restaurant offers both hot and cold soba noodles, but the owner particularly recommends the tororo soba noodles with grated yam; the springy noodles pick up the grated yam well. Noodle-making demonstrations are also held at the front of the establishment, and you can watch if your timing is right.

- Great place for everybody
- Its a really small place on the side street from kouachi dori.Usually they have long lines but it moves real fast. Our kids love this place.

- Best sobu ever
- Very small restaurant with only 12 seats with fabulous food and local feeling. Probably the best sobu that I have ever had. Very inexpensive and delicious.
