This large hot spring complex adjoins Ijuin General Sports Park a 20-minute drive from Kagoshima City. The complex' bathhouse' baths are filled with free-flowing spring water straight from the source; facilities include a large bathing area and sauna. The bathhouse also has private indoor baths, including one which incorporates universal design principles. The waters of the bathhouse' hypotonic mildly alkaline spring are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, stiff shoulders, motor paralysis, and chronic digestive diseases. The complex also has classrooms, a training room, and a restaurant, and is used as a community space by people of all ages.
