Setouchi Town Library and Municipal Museum

Library
A library located a five-minute drive from the Setouchi Town Hall. In addition to general-interest books, the spacious interior of the library contains an area devoted to the works and personal items of noted author Shimao Toshio, as well as a room that contains exhibits about local folklore and customs. Photographs and videos give visitors an easily understood introduction to the history, culture, and traditional performing arts of the town of Setouchi, including artifacts related to Shodon Shibaya, (a historical pageant), Yui Honen Odori (a dance), and Noro (priestess)'s equipment used in rituals. In addition, the library offers a wide variety of nature programs for children.
