Furue Shoji Alley
A street in Chofufurueshoji-cho, Shimonoseki City. It retains the vestiges of the time when it flourished as a castle town, with a street design from another era, the earthen walls of samurai residences, etc. The nagaya-mon gate that was part of the residence of the Kanke family-doctors to the Chofu feudal lords-is a Tangible Cultural Property of the city.
